I was ready to poo-poo the lack of X-Y sensitivity on the pad, but then I saw the price.

I still think they missed an opportunity by not having the pad more than just velocity (and pressure?) sensitive, but it’s hard to argue against 200€, and that sort of hardware would crank the price significantly I imagine.

Presumably you can play with drum sticks. If the pad is sensitive enough, with custom scales set to a small enough range, and velocity-pitch I imagine you could actually bang out some melodies.
