Slow seller. They messed up, I think, by selling a much more powerful unit with less controls. The 900 looks amazing, but it’s hard to see its little brother outperforming it with its specs with the controls of a Iridium Core. Also, being fully digital, you really need to show yourself as being worthy of the pricetag, which it can’t except by overdesigning the box.

Tried getting myself into either device by joining their Discord, but besides the circlejerk of people who spend big money trying to convince themselves the synth’s really worth it, it made the decision to look for better synths for better money actually really easy.

I had a play at SB25 – the thing sounds great and has really strong integration with the software control, but the UI feels like it was designed more by an engineer, rather than someone who thought about usability and UX.

While anticipating a Poly/Superfreak sooner or later, I will have a close look at this machine. This is more than “just” a very capable digital synth. Especially the mixer with 19 stereo-ins has my attention.

How many voices DOES it have? Here it says 24 on the website it says 16 voices! For me it sounded like 24 voices but it can be 16. I give an update asap

The large version is sublime, but I see no reason for me to pay so much for digital hardware. This one at 2300,- isn’t too bad though. I guess they aim at buyers who want an Iridium Core, but rather have something different than that dominating synth series? I feel like the Anyma Omega is going to scratch all my digital needs, so I’ll happily wait for that thing to one day appear.

I like what Mayer has done but all their synths are super expensive. The only way I see myself getting one is years down the road on the second hand market.
