Synapse Audio has released Dune 3 update 3.64 with an MPE support expansion, and Expressive E celebrates it with an MPE-focused patch library.
In the last few months, Expressive E has released new Expressive Suite patch libraries in collaboration with other plugin developers, offering MPE-focused sounds, for example, with Kilohearts, u-he, or Dawesome.
One of the most recent team-ups is with Synapse Audio from Germany. After new patches for the Legend HZ, Expressive E has now also created an Expressive Suite for the Synapse Audio Dune 3 to celebrate the latest 3.64 update.

Expressive E has teamed up with Richard Hoffmann from Synapse Audio to create this new patch library.
To make the sounds more expressively playable, Synapse Audio updated Dune 3 to 3.64 and expanded MPE support even further, offering compatibility for more controllers.
Next to this, he also added other new features and improvements to the synth, including:
- You can now set the range of the UI keyboard with the LEDs above the pitch and modulation wheels
- new Time/Samples bar to wave and wavetable editors.
- Low Cut knob had no effect on “Cathedral” reverb type, fixed.
- In Reason, in rare cases, parameters were reset to default after a program change or fix.
Expressive E Dune 3 Expressive Suite
The new Expressive E library features 300+ MPE-ready presets for Dune 3, a flagship hybrid Synthesizer plugin for macOS and Windows. Unlike other previous Dune 3 patch libraries, this new release explores the full expressive range of the plugin.
In-house sound designers at Expressive E created the new Dune 3 Expressive Suite, promising that these patches were designed to respond with nuance, depth, and musicality.
From cinematic textures and sci-fi ambiance to gritty urban tones and evolving pop soundscapes, each sound reacts to the subtlest gestures.
Yes, this new patch library is optimized for the Osmose, but it is also fully compatible with other MPE-enabled controllers.

A lovely library for the Dune 3 Synthesizer. It’s great that these collaborations encourage developers to bring their plugins to the highest MPE level, making them more expressive.
Synapse Audio Dune 3.64 is available now as a free update for existing Dune 3 users. For non-Dune 3 users, you can get a complete bundle with Dune 3 and all 300 presets for $/€167,30 instead of $/€239 until August 6th, 2025.
For existing Dune 3 users, you can purchase the whole collection for $/€39.99 instead of $/€59,99 or one of the three 100-preset packs for $/€17.99 each (regular price $/€29.99) until August 6th, 2025.

Great plugin, it really sounds fantastic. MPE should be great. I’ll have to test it with my linnstrument. Also it’s simple to register and use via wine/yabridge on linux.
