Following the BM-15 Murf Box (a Moogerfooger MF-105M clone), the next analog pedal in the series is now ready for shipping from their factory.
Behringer has today released the BM-13 Phaser, a clone/replica of the Moog Moogerfooger MF-103 phaser. It’s ready for pre-order.
Behringer BM-13 Phaser
The BM-13 Phaser is an authentic analog clone/replica of the Moog Moogerfooger MF-103, initially released in 1999.
Like the original unit, it’s an analog phaser with switchable 6-stage or 12-stage characteristics. The Behringer BM-13 Phaser offers hands-on control over various parameters, including sweep, resonance, LFO rate, and amount.
The BM-13 Phaser provides various versatile phasing results, depending on the settings. Crank the LFO down to super low 0.01 Hz to achieve very slow subtle sweeping results, or put it on high-speed up to 250 Hz for deep resonating textures.
Also onboard is the built-in drive knob that adds grit to your sound.
On the backside, the Behringer BM-13 Phaser offers a mono audio input and a mono audio output. Further, you can control various parameters with an expression pedal or CV, including sweep, resonance, rate, amount, and more.
Lastly, it has a 9V DC power supply on the back for powering the unit.
First Impression
It was only a matter of time before more Moogerfooger pedal clones would come along. So this release is not a surprise. However, I’m surprised they didn’t start with the most beloved pedal, the delay. I’m curious to see how well the phaser compares to the original.
Behringer BM-13 is available now for pre-order for 119€ and ready for shipping from your retailer in several weeks/months.
