Behringer BM-11M is a new clone/replica of the Moog MF-101 Moogerfooger analog lowpass filter pedal for 119€.
The first batch of the new Behringer Moogerfooger Phaser and Ring Modulator clones has been available in Europe since yesterday. Interestingly, the Murf clone has disappeared, as previously reported.
Instead of providing an update, there is another new clone. No, it’s still not the long-awaited delay but one they have already previewed in 2023. Behringer has just released the BM-11M, which is based on the famous Moog Ladder filter.
Behringer BM-11M
The new BM-11M is a clone/replica of the Moog MF-101 Moogerfooger Lowpass Filter pedal from 1998. Like the original, the Behringer BM-11M is an analog pedal with a straightforward design.
At its core is a smooth and creamy Ladder lowpass filter with dedicated resonance control. There is a switch in the middle with which you can choose between 2-pole (12dB) and 4-pole (24dB).
To give the whole thing some character, there is also a drive circuit which is located in the input and thus in front of the filter.
Just below is the envelope follower with which you can play the filter dynamically and expressively. You can select between a smooth and fast envelope. Additionally, you can tweak it with an amount and mix controls.
On the back side, you have plenty of connectivity, both analog and digital. It includes a mono audio input, expression/CV inputs for the cutoff, mix, resonance, and amount, a DC input, and a mono audio output.
Further, you can find an envelope follower, a 5-pin MIDI input, and USB-C. With the last two (MIDI and USB), you can also control the pedal via the DAW or other MIDI gear.
First Impression
After the BM-11M was previewed as the BM-101 in 2023, it was only a matter of time before the pedal hit the market. Now it’s here. Now we are just waiting for the delay pedal.
Behringer BM-11M is available now for pre-order for 119€.
